Nintendo dsi, dsi XL and 3ds price comparison

The Nintendo DSi, DSi XL and soon to be released Nintendo 3DS are always demand. The demand for the 3DS will be higher, as of course the 3DS is the newest version of the Nintendo DSi which uses ground breaking 3D technology. This does mean though, that there are some great deals around on the DSi at at the moment.

Please note that the Nintendo 3DS is not scheduled for release until March 25th, 2011, so any prices quoted below are pre-order prices. Of course, some of the stores let you order your 3DS in advance so you will be sure to get one once they are released.

the Nintendo dsi has launched

Nintendo's latest handheld gaming console has just launched. The Nintendo DSi, a technological advancement on it's predecessor the Nintento DS, has an integrated music player, camera and also offers online gaming. The Recommended Retail Price is £199.99 although you can buy them cheaper online (see the price comparison table above).

The Nintendo DSi is now much more than just a games player, as it has two built in cameras, plus internet browsing and music playing. You should note, however, that the Nintendo DSi does not allow the playing of MP3 files, although it supports AAC files (those with .m4a,.mp4 and .3gp file extensions). Despite the "Credit Crunch", many retailers have felt it necessary to create a waiting list for customers who are wanting to purchase the Nintendo DSi.

The Nintendo DSi is currently available in just two colours, black and white, although I expect a pink one will shortly be made available. The screen is 3.25" wide, although the console itself is a little slimmer than the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DSi has a built in WiFi, allowing connection to the internet wherever a wireless connection is available. This means that new games and software upgrades can be downloaded directly from the Nintendo DSi store, and allows multiplayer gaming with like minded people across the globe.

Note than the DSi is backwards compatible with Nintendo DS games, although it won't play the old Game Boy Advance (GBA) games.
